Compensation for mica contaminated blocks in houses.

If you were familiar with the topic you would know that it's Cassidy Brothers and they have been named in the national media and have even issued press statements on the mater. I'm not sure what to make of your comment.

Compensation for mica contaminated blocks in houses.

Everyone knows the source and the manufacturer of the dodgy blocks.

Compensation for mica contaminated blocks in houses.

it is all very very strange why the company (blocks) or its owners/directors were not sued. I never heard of any other business saying "sorry we have no insuarance so you cant sue us" and the aggrieved customers accept that. theres more to this than meets the eye

Compensation for mica contaminated blocks in houses.

If reports on social media are belived then it seems the council knew about this as far back as 2009 so that is worrying as they dont seem to have done anything

    Home office separate meter question

@kceire - are you saying that techies cant make a fsc application?

Offence to lie on planning application form?

If you answer no then I cant see a problem as this is something the council will have knowledge of in any event so that shouldnt be an issue. However if pp was granted and you were flooded well, depending on the claim, your insurance company may well have something to say about it if they...

builder drops tools and leaves (any options)

If you're talking about certs of compliance with planning and/or building regulations then you will need an architect/engineer/technician/surveyor to issue those. A lot depends on what size the extension was and if you had submitted commencement notice under BCMS and if you had any...

Legal boundaries on purchase of land

If a deed of transfer includes a map then that should should indicate your legal boundaries as it would have been signed/agreed by both parties. You should ask your solicitor to check this out and if necessary your solicitor will contact LR with a view to having them amend their records...

    Transfer of Site

I can see where you're coming from as a piece of ground with PP will normally have a higher value than agricultural land. best advise is always wait until planning has been granted but as its in a rural area there will be restrictions on who can build there (subject to planning of course) and if...

    Neighbours planning extension

Thinking the land or ground is yours means nothing in the real world. You need to get the relevant legal maps and then get someone (digital land surveyor) to carry out a boundary check to determine where the legal boundary is and not where you "believe" it is. A quick trawl through this web site...

Legal boundaries on purchase of land

There is always (well, almost) a map available to show the boundaries be that a Land Reg map or map attached to deeds. You say the "site was marked" which indicates that either a new boundary has to be physically established on the ground to correspond exactly with the map boundaries or most...

    building a shed/home office

The 4m height exemption wouldnt apply in that scenario. It would be restricted to 3m imo as it wouldnt be a standard pitched roof. The height in all such cases would be measured from the lowest point of the undisturbed ground level below the footprint of the shed.

    Two Storey House Ridge Height

Its possible but you would be very, very restricted in design and layout of the house. Most 2 storey houses would be around 8.0m high on average. To get a the ridge down to to 7m you would be looking at a design with either a very shallow roof pitch or a short wall / roof span ...say around 6.5m...
