What happens to PRSA when we die

Hi guys, A quick question. Probably silly, but I can't find an answer online or in the forums. Both my wife and I have PRSA standard penions through Zurich and New Ireland. When we die, does the remainder of the pension (if there is any money left in the pot) go to the kids? Or does it go to...

Two months in Spain this coming winter. Suggestions.

On thing to think about using your own car here in Spain is that the Spanish drivers drive 'differently' than us, and cars parked in the street often get bumped and scratched.

    PRSA for wife 44yrs

Hi guys, The wife has two small PRSA schemes from previous work. She is now 44 and is looking for another plan - the two she has can't be contributed to anymore as they were with previous employers. Should she start again with another? Gas water heater

'sufficient flow' turned out to be the problem. There is sand or grit coming in via the water mains. It is slowly blocking the water flow, which isnt able to generate enough flow to ignite the water heating system. Taps have to be removed and cleared of the sand or grit.

    Small solar panel system

Hi Everyone - thank you very much for getting back to me. It is actually for the south of Spain, south facing. The idea would be use a battery, off grid, to charge up during the day and run the heater at night. Cremegg - thanks - I didnt realise it was a direct division. Judging by this it...

    Small solar panel system

Hi all, Although I'm pretty handy about the house I have no idea about electrics. I am thinking about a solar panel system to supply energy to two average sized oil filled portable radiators, which I gather are 1500W. Nothing else to be run off the battery. Can anybody tell me what wattage...

Self employed working abroad tax question

Being self employed in Spain can be a bit costly. Monthly 'autonómo' (self emplyed tax) starts at about 50€ for the first 6 months or so and rises up to about €350 over a year or two - the idea is to pay less tax as you start off and pay more as you grow. You then pay 7% or 15% on every...

Transfer shares from ING to another entity to avoid fees

Hi guys, A year or two ago I bought a few shares in a company where I do some work - not a lot....about 2k worth. I am paying ING €8 a month management fee. My fault. Is there any way to transfer this management away from a bank to avoid this fee? Maybe to Degiro or another online investment...
