Shutter Speed / Aperture Query - stuck on "LO"

I've got a Nikon D90. I'm trying out the 2 modes, "A" & "S". I'm looking at user videos on youtube. On youtube as the guy increases or decreases one of the two, the other increases or decreases accordingly. On mine, if I'm on "S" , the aperture is "LO" and doesn't change no matter how high or...

Hi all - thought I'd revist this one. Still having the same problem. My new laptop has Windows 7 and when I download the driver for the camcorder, it says that it doesn't support Windows 7. I've been using an old Sony Vaio laptop for the last few years to copy the movies across. Problem now...

Printer prints pictures but not word doc's

I'll fiddle around with it. Tried printing the head alignment page - it came out with black and blue boxes. Tried printing the test page - says it tests for graphics and text. The windows logo printed out but no text. Did the nozzle test print and it all came out fine.

Printer prints pictures but not word doc's

I've got a Canon Printer. If I try to print Word doc's / PDF's - it just shoots out a blank page. If I print out a picture it works fine. I've tried uninstalling the printer but keep getting the same problem. Anyone know how to fix this? Cheers.

Living In Australia - Impact of Negative Gearing from an Irish Tax Perspective

Yes, we're on a Working Visa at the moment. Even in the PR application there was nothing about declaring any assets. The PR is a given as I'm doing it through work. I'll see what the Aussie's have to say about it here.

Listening to RTE (Internet) on my mobile.

I've got a Nokia phone and have downloaded the app to listen to internet radio. It picks up the likes of Today FM and Newstalk but doesn't pick up any of the RTE channels. If I go through the web on my phone, through to the RTE site, it has the link to play via Real Player or Windows. Neither...

Ok, worked it out. Cable connection to the PVR and then an additional cable to the TV. So I just use the PVR for recording stuff & watch the TV as normal.

    Recording TV - PVR Issue

I bought a "cheap as chips" HD Set top box & PVR. Only problem is that I've just found that it's a Single Channel PVR. So if I record a particular show while I'm watching TV, I'm stuck watching that show & one other. I can't select the other channel I'm watching as it's based on frequencies...

    Any Downside In Cancelling VHI?

Living in Oz, family with 2 kids. We've held onto VHI Global Cover & it's now up for renewal. Will work out at over 4K Euro. We're thinking of taking local insurance which works out under half the price. Mightn't cover as much but that's not our issue. If we're to end up returning to...

The camera docking station has an AV & a DV connection as well. The DV looks like Firewire. Windows Vista doesn't support USB streaming with this camcorder, so they're saying to use Firewire or DV.

Connecting Camcorder - USB Streaming Not Supported

When I was using Windows XP I was able to use USB Streaming to transfer the tapes contents from my Camcorder to my Laptop. My new laptop has Windows Vista & it's not supported. How high had prices rose before coming back down again?

We're living in Melbourne, Victoria. While I can't find the exact figures for Melbourne, I've read that median house prices in Victoria have jumped 164 per cent in the past 10 years. We still have 2 houses in Dublin & are debating whether to buy here in the next year or so. Property prices...

Dealing with a Sole Trader as opposed to a Ltd Company

I had my own company on the go in Ireland for 4 years. I'm in Oz now. As I'm not a Permanent Resident I can't set up a company. I've worked in Recruitment here for the last 10 months & am now looking to go out on my own. I'm just going to test the waters & am thinking of setting myself up as a...

Personal Laptop - Company Setting Up IT System

The guys in work are keeping their costs down. Each of the consultants use their own personal laptops. We also pay our own mobile phone bills. On the plus side, we've got a generous commission base. We're doing pretty well & there's money there. They're also a good bunch of lads. I was...

Carzone - Are Cars Selling Anymore?

I had a '05 Nissan Almera on Carzone & Buy & Sell for about 5 months. I started with the car in or around 11K - eventually to get rid of it, I brought the price down to a bargain basement 6.8K - sold it for 6.6K. It was only when I brought the price right down that I got any calls (apart from...
