    they are effectively collecting your tax during the year rather thamn waiting for you to do a return I havnt seen it before for rental income ; but i imagine there is nothing to stop you changing it if you want to

    I would strongly recommend that you sit with an accountant but if you are going ahead solo - There are guides to cessation returns on revenues website Points 3 & 4 - nothing to do with sales - maybe someone else here can give a consise guide on how to account for it in the accounts and tax...

    i wouldnt say it's unusual to query it --- as a general rule ; profitable businesses that operate at the 23% rate are not usually in a VAT Refund position
