Has anyone successfully got a negative equity trade up mortgage?

I came close! They were happy that: 1. Our joint income was high than required for the loan requested 2. The LTV was under their limit 3. Our monthly disposable income at their 6.5% stress tested limit was higher than the cost of living amount they have for a 2 parent, one child household...

Will anything ever be done about neg equity??

Have you compared some of these European apartments to a lot of the ones built during the boom here? They are not exactly comparable in terms of size or quality. Certainly in my own experience with both anyway. My second bedroom is 5 foot by 6 foot. I'd guess most rooms this size in your...

Trade-down mortgages on a smaller home.

http://www.independent.ie/business/personal-finance/property-mortgages/main-banks-ordered-to-explain-plans-on-mortgages-3151623.html AIB told the Government last night it would offer: - Trade-down mortgages, where some negative equity is taken on to a new mortgage on a smaller home...

    Having a baby :)

This has not been my experience so far going public in the Coombe. I had a dating scan at 13 weeks and a full scan at 21. I waited around 20 minutes to register on my first appointment at 13 weeks, but have been seen on time at all subsequent appointments. Still more time for me to have another...

Karl Deeter "Some borrowers are going into arrears on purpose"

I spoke with my bank a year ago asking would they consider allowing me to sell my house and bring the negative equity into a new loan, or a new mortgage. Needless to say they said no but the nice ladies parting words were "You do not have financial problems as far as we are concerned. Until you...

Venture Photography: Anyone have any experience dealing with this co.? Hard Selling.

I am probably out on a limb on my own here but I really dislike the Venture style of photography so my mind completely boggles at the price people pay for them.

    Maternity leave. Interest only?

I am going to maternity leave later this year and my work will not be paying me anything so will have the SW payment and my husbands salary coming in. We intend to save as much as we can between now and then to bridge this gap. I am tempted to ask the bank can we go interest only to make this...

TONERGATE : Aengus O'Snodaigh owes Dail €3,700 for printer cartridges since 2009.

Apparently he does a lot of leaflet drops in his constituency. Two a week on average. I live in his constituency and have no memory of seeing any coming through the letter box.

selling house for less than mortgage owing

AIB would not let me do this when I asked but I gather banks are dealing with people on a case by case basis so until you ask you won't really know.

Cash offer - should you expect a discount?

I would imagine it also depends on the circumstances of the seller. If the amount you want to offer is below what they can afford to accept then ease of payment and speed means nothing. A lot of mortgages are for more than the house value so some sellers are very tied by a bottom price whether...

Hike for bus and rail travellers

I haven't had any issues yet but I can imagine arguing an issue could become a complete pain. It let me go 40c overdrawn into the deposit recently, which is very handy if you're running a little short and haven't topped up. One annoyance is if you top up online it can take up to 48 hours...

Is this the biggest mark-up ever?!

Becky your point might be true about getting a professional recommendation for the product, but that doesn't justify the dentist charging that much more for them. OP, did the e300 include a professional assessment?

    TRS not changed to 30%

Thanks. I didn't realise the capped amount changed in year 8. edited to add - I just checked revenue.ie and as I am married and were both first time buyers on this property the cap should be e6000 which may mean it should be higher than 75pm...

    TRS not changed to 30%

Mine is usually around €90 a month (bought at the end of 2005) and today it was €75. Is this likely to be a mistake that will get rectified or have I misunderstood how it works?
