Do foreign companies (outside EU) selling services to Ireland need to pay VAT in Ireland?

Thanks for your reply. Because they are providing services only (analytics), via a website, it seems they should not charge the Irish business VAT? Am I understanding correctly?

Do foreign companies (outside EU) selling services to Ireland need to pay VAT in Ireland?

Supplying to businesses. I'm asking this for a friend, but from what I gather her total value of services provided to Ireland in a year would be less than 20k.

Is the IT industry really shrinking like this?

OK. I was thinking it was something like that. They aggregate jobs from recruit ireland etc. so maybe they are just representing the state of online job advertising rather than the IT industry.

Is the IT industry really shrinking like this?

https://dublinjobs.ie/statistics?daterange=last-36-months&categories%5B%5D=15 Look at how it is on a downward trend. Does this reflect the reality of the IT industry, or is it just there are fewer IT jobs being advertised on job websites (or something like that?) Thanks

Can I use personal bank account for business purposes?

Thanks for the replies everyone. Just so I'm clear, I'd only have a VAT issue if I was 1) charging Irish businesses VAT and/or 2) keeping the VAT for myself, right?

Can I use personal bank account for business purposes?

Thanks for the replies. Regarding attracting Revenues attention, a few of you have said that in an ominous tone, but if I'm not tax resident in Ireland it's fine right? It just means I'd have a conversation with them (maybe provide proof of my residency or something like that) and that'd be in...

Question about temporarily using personal bank account for a business payment

Hi all I am in the process of setting up a business bank account. To complicate matters, the business is not in Ireland, the business bank account is not in Ireland, and I am not resident in Ireland. I am an Irish citizen, however. The business bank account will probably not be ready by...

Thank you for your reply. I know this is an internet forum so I will get official advice from an accountant, etc., but could you please elaborate on what you mean by tax residency being in China. Creating an Irish company when living abroad?

Hi all I currently live in China but would like to create a new Irish company. It would be an online company, so it doesn't require an office in Ireland, but I'd like it to be legally registered in Ireland. Any employees, etc., would be in China. Is this possible? If so, can I do it...

Keytrade bank SMS codes - have you ever received one?

Hi all I would really appreciate an answer from anyone who has used Keytrade's SMS code service (in other words, when you want to log in without using the digital code device you can get a SMS code sent to you instead.) I have lost my access device and cannot get a new one because I no...

Passed over for job despite being best qualified

I agree with Leper. What good do you think will come out of making a fuss? I can't think of any positive outcome for you. Forget it and move on. There is also a chance the interview board really do think you are unsuitable for the role. It is a possibility.

Move savings to a bank in China?

Thanks for the link. The reason I picked ICBC is because the government recently pumped billions into that bank to cover much of its bad debts. Apparently the way it works is sort of like this: Your euro transfer gets held in a euro account rather than your CNY (kuai) account. When you...
