Accident/Injury in Restaurant - What to do?

I want my wife to be well, I want her teeth back to normal and I want her to be able to go out and not be worried about people staring at her. I would like an apology from them and all our medical fees looked after. One thing I certainly don't want is a voucher for a meal.

Accident/Injury in Restaurant - What to do?

Last Sunday my wife had a bad fall on a wet floor while carrying a tray of food/drink in a fast food restaurant and sustained some injuries. She was with her sister and went to the hospital immediately. Thankfully nothing was broken, but she has bad bruising on her forehead, nose, arms and chin...

You bought the BBQ but do you use it?

I got a nice one 2 years back and used it very frequently that summer. Last summer, I think it was used only 2 or 3 times which was mainly due to the poor weather. Earlier on this year during the cold weather, we noticed a foul smell on our decking and when investigated found that a stray cat...

    Ireland's most successful sports achiever

If Liverpool win the Premiership, it would have to be Brendan Rogers:D I agree with Padraig Harrington and BOD being in the shortlist, AP McCoy would have to be up there too - incredible record

    Dublin to Cahirciveen

We travelled to Valentia Island for our hols this year. On our way we took the route through Cork and on the way back we used the Limerick route. If I was to do that trip again, I'd definitely take the Limerick route - easier drive

    F1gur471v3ly 5p34k1ng?

Last Saturday I met up with a few friends for a pint and a chat. I told the missus I'd be home before 7, but somehow we got lost in time and managed to go quite a few hours past that mark ;). I told her on Sunday morning that I felt bullied and gave in to peer pressure. She told me I was weak...

    Aplomb

His Lordship was in the study at Downton Abbey when the butler approached and coughed discreetly. "May I ask you a question my Lord?" "Go ahead Carson" said his Lordship. "I am doing the crossword in The Times and I have found a word I am not too clear on" "What word is that?" said his Lordship...

    European Boxing Championship 2013

Another brilliant performance from the Irish boxers in this year’s European Boxing Championship. Two gold medals won by John Joe Nevin and Jason Quigley and two silver medals won by Paddy Barnes and Michael Conlan. Barnes was unable to contest his final due to a broken nose and Conlan was beaten...

What are we watching on TV?

They are similar in ways, as is their family in gereral from what I saw last night. I found it intertesting the way Abie uses comedy to discuss topics that we Irish don't really like to talk about openly - religion, family death etc

What are we watching on TV?

Watched 'Would you Believe' last night. A documentary about atheist comedian Abie Philbin Bowman. He uses comedy to challenge peoples assumptions about the world. Didn't agree with all that he had to say, but he is a very intelligent young man and I really enjoyed the programme. Also brought...
