    VAT Question

As long as the business will be VAT registered in Ireland, yes you will be able to claim on expenses.

    Downsizing to a bungalow

The flip side of that is if you have leg or back issues, then stairs are not good for you. Exercise is absolutely but not always stairs.

    Downsizing to a bungalow

We went from a 2500 sq foot house to a 1000 sq ft bungalow just before Covid. Early 40's couple no kids. We had to do a full reno, but not a full gut job, floors/roofs were left, no walls knocked...we did rewire though. The house was stuck in the 80's & we brought it into the modern age. We...

    Sky customer service

Not 100% sure as my other half deals with Sky, but we had issues last week, and the only way she could get through to them was via WhatsApp number...took a while but got through & they sorted the issue out.

Bunq Paying 2.46% Instant Access & No Fees

So this 'credit card' is similar to those An Post travel credit cards where you load it with money & spend away as long as the money is still on it!

Finally! Still nice to see it pop into your account every Friday!

    Ensuite mould

Our main (and only) bathroom has no external window - we've never had a mould issue anywhere in the bathroom. Tiled all round, PVC ceiling. Squeegee along with fan is key, and squeegee the floor of the shower area too, ours is slate so easy to do. Squeegee also has benefit of keeping shower...

Is it worth Moving to a Smart Meter Plan?

100%...they're really the only options that come up for Smart rates when I got to Bonkers or Switcher. Leaning towards sticking on a normal tariff.

Is it worth Moving to a Smart Meter Plan?

Thanks Leo...similar position, I work from home also, no EV, no kids running up usage also! Our usage is quite low (165 per bill, last couple anyway, used to be around 80!!). I'll check that out with ESB Networks.

Is it worth Moving to a Smart Meter Plan?

Currently we have a smart meter for esb, & we're with Electric Ireland, but the meter was installed but it runs as a normal meter, so we're not on a smart tariff. Our contract is up next week, and two options to stay with EI are normal non-smart plan at 35 cents per unit, or switch the meter to...

Buying Home Directly from an Owner

I sold my last house privately, and at the same time bought privately also, just the way it worked out! When selling I had an estate agent already give me a value for it (6 months previous so wasn't trying to cut the EA out, just hadn't decided at time to sell), so we knew the value, we went...

Bunq Paying 2.46% Instant Access & No Fees

I finally have interest! Now I had to take all my money out of the account, close the Main account it had set up automatically, then set up a new sub account for savings, now it's fine.

Bunq Paying 2.46% Instant Access & No Fees

I think that's why we all signed up for it! While I haven't received interest & haven't got the options some seem to have...I have taken all my funds out back to my BOI account, I have now deleted 'Main' as an account, and set up 'Savings' as a sub account - that was the only way to do this...

Bunq Paying 2.46% Instant Access & No Fees

I have to love the app (insert sarcasm!) as along with this way to do things, and other people detailing what to do, my version of the app (latest) doesn't let me do this! There isn't a Select My Accounts option! Now I did find getting onto Easy Savings at the start easy and it did just switch...

Bunq Paying 2.46% Instant Access & No Fees

I'm using the app, I don't get that option, so can't do it.

Bunq Paying 2.46% Instant Access & No Fees

I can't do that. Adding another sub account automatically brings you to a pay page. As soon as I have emptied my account, I'll try deleting the main account, then adding a savings sub account, see if that works.

Bunq Paying 2.46% Instant Access & No Fees

I received the same reply from support as somebody else above. You need to have the Savings account as a sub account. Not sure if I can delete the main account I have, then set up a new savings sub. I'll probably just take all the money out, and try that. If it works, try a few bob to see if the...

Bunq Paying 2.46% Instant Access & No Fees

Can I ask how your main app looks - do you have your Total Balance, then a Main sub-account or Savings sub-account? I think thats the confusion. I have Total & a Main & if I go to add a Savings, it's asking to move to pay monthly for another sub-account.

Bunq Paying 2.46% Instant Access & No Fees

@irbx to open a Savings sub account you need to pay for that option correct? So the Easy Savings (free) option (which I'm on) is really only a deposit account earning no interest.

Bunq Paying 2.46% Instant Access & No Fees

Quick one for people who have had Bunq accounts for a while - I opened the Easy Savings mid-December, and am still on it after the 30 days trial. When do you normally see the interest in your account? I have the option for interest turned on, but have yet to see any in my account.
