From full-time to 2 days a week now finishing up

Went to my SW office yesterday, to my 'hatch' number. I was told to keep filling in my yellow dockets, putting in all 'x', then once I have my P45 I am to go back in straight away and they will change my claim to fully unemployed. This way there is no break in my payments.

From full-time to 2 days a week now finishing up

Hi Mopsy, I'm in a similar situation, I finished up today, after being on a 3 day week since last January. If you are with your employer more than 2 years and satisfy the other criteria you should qualify for redundancy. Check out welfare.ie, citizensinformation.ie and redundancy.ie. As far...

Going from 3 day week to unemployment

Well, this is where I am confused - is it a new claim? Anyway, I just got through to citizens information who have told me to go to the hatch number I was given previously so I'll just do this. Thanks.

Going from 3 day week to unemployment

Hello, I've done a search here but can't find an answer to my query. I have been on a 3day week since January and have been claiming JB for the other 2 days since then. This week I am being made redundant (finishing up tomorrow). My employer has filled out the required forms for my redundancy...

Luas park and ride - green line

Ok thanks. I had thought of the Dart from Blackrock originally, reason I was thinking I'd get the Luas was, I'm going to Charlemont St and Camden St so getting the Luas would mean I wouldn't have to walk very far! The dart it is so, I don't fancy having to be in the park and ride before 8am.

    Hotel in Paris

I stayed in Hotel Royal Magda Etoile , google it, address is Rue Troyan, recently, very good location (1min walk from Arc de triomphe), very clean, reasonable price and staff were excellent. Rooms were quite small, but thats what you get in small hotels in Paris. The suite rooms were larger...

Hotel with gardens for quiet, restful break

We sent my parents to Lyrath in Kilkenny last year, they enjoy walking and taking it easy and it was ideal for them. My mam got talking to one of the gardeners who brought her around the gardens and told her the history of the place too. Food was good too if I remember correctly.

Where to buy correct hand luggage size for Ryan Air, I'm stumped!

I flew with Ryanair to London a few weeks ago - they did take a walk along the queue to make sure that people had just the one bag (all us ladies had to stuff out handbags into carry on!) but they didn't measure any bags. Mine was just slightly over the size in 1 direction only. I did see...

Am i qualified to give a compliance cert?

As far as I know, to do compliance certs you need to have PI Insurance, and be a (full?) member of RIAI, CIAT or one of the other institutes that would be recognised by the bank.

Has anyone been to Argeles sur Mer?

Argeles sur Mer is the busier of the towns in this area. Collieure (sp) to the south or Canet plage to the North are more relaxing towns, Collieure is particular is really pretty and Canet has a fabulous beach. I've been to this area a few times, and while I wouldn't spend all my time in...

    3 day week payments

Bally1, I'm on a three day week since January, and I get paid for 2 days, so I get €81.70 each week. I work the same 3 days every week and it is (hopefully) a temporary situation. Friends of mine in the same situation are getting 3 days pay (€102). I queried this with my SW office and was told...

    Learning French

For learning yourself, I'd recommend Michel Thomas, I found his cds very good when I was brushing up on my french a few years ago. Since then I've gone to the Alliance Francaise in Waterford and its been an excellent way of improving my spoken french. We had a native french teacher which I...

    Accommodation in Bordeaux

I stayed in Hotel St Catherine about 2 years ago. Very reasonable rates, and it was just off the main shopping street so very central. It's in the Quality Hotel chain of hotels. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. There was a small fridge in the room too which was handy for...
