Key Post Easiest way to know when oil tank is empty?

Re: Key Post: easiest way to know when oil tank is empty? Hi Albert, I never used my Watchman as a lot of people told me it was rubbish so I bought a gauge in a local Hardware store for €25 and I would definitely recommend it. It is easy enough to fit on to the side of your tank and is...

Using a sky yellow house card

If you have a UK address where can you purchase a Yellow House Card? I have a sister living in the UK but she doesn't know where to look for this card for me. Can you buy it in a shop or can you only get it online and if so, where (other than ebay if possible)?

    Tyre Pressure

What is the make and model of your car and what size of tyres do you have? You can generally find the correct pressure for your tyres inside the flap for your fuel tank or in your manual. Any filling station would tell you either.

    noise in walls/attic - mice?

I have noises too and I definitely don't have mice. I definitely think it's birds making scratching sounds on the tiles. You would also have the sound of creaking/settling cracks from the joists in the attic and if you have PVC windows they creak also due to heat I think. Maybe I'm only...

Re: Electronic water softeners I need to get a water softner because of lhard water / limescale problems. Do I take it that I shouldn't get it plumbed in to the cold water drinking tap? I use a water filter the whole time but it doesn't solve the limescale problems in the kettle. My parents...

    Millipedes

Does anyone else have any experience of Millipedes? I moved in to my house a year ago and discovered I had an infestation crawling up my outside walls at night time. I eventually managed to control them by putting down ant powder all around the foundations of both the house (a bungalow) and...
