Electricity bill - Help to understand

There are electricity charges (341.33) and standing charges (60.40 and 3.28) in all bills. You also have a day meter (645 and 40) and a night meter(32 and 511) which charge different rates per unit. The reason you have 2 unit readings on each is because your price changed mid-billing period. The...

What does an Executor do with an item of jewellery that two beneficiaries want?

My sisters had a draw for my mother's rings. The lads had no interest. Their value was not added to the estate as such. They were worth about 800 euro. Tell them to do something similar and sort it among themselves.

Major headaches with Revolut and N26 after phone got stolen

OK. So the thief got access to Google pay and was able to change the card it used from boi to revelut and then n26 as the money ran out of each. Seems convenient to be able to do this but as we see here it's riskier.

I'm confused. They got entry into your apps having got entry into your phone ? Was your phone locked in the first place ? I don't use Google pay but do they not require you to put in a pin at opening ?

Granny died 50 years ago, no probate taken out for her home

He had a legal right to his half of the house as per the law. Seeing as its 50 years there may be some comeback. My advice would be to try and sort it as quick as possible. 15k sounds cheap but why do you think its the solicitor that's feeding this ? The legal fees could be 5k for your uncle...

+1 and any local websites like Freecycle. The amount of second hand furniture being given away and sold cheaply now is phenomenal. Aside from mattresses though, I draw the line there.

And how will you get to the attic in the bungalow ? No offence, but you seem to be looking for a project to have a new home rather than downsizing.
