    ABN-AMRO opening a bank account

I tend to agree with the posters who are confused about what to do. Yes, the Irish banks are totally bust, and so it cannot be a bad idea to get money out of them. On the other hand, the paranoid fixation of the ECB, around the issue of burning bondholders or indeed any form of burden sharing of...

Michael Noonan, TD, patriot, and minister for finance of this country, apparently does not share your confidence in the Irish banks. He kees his money elsewhere [broken link removed] What does that say, about our banks and our political masters?

Key Post Brendan Burgess explains: How to protect your deposits

BUT, haven't we already seen queues outside Irish banks in a big way. If that online facility were not available, is it not safe to assume that a big proportion...

Did anyone of you open an account with one the biggest german banks?

Anybody think investing in a cash fund with the likes of Canada Life, is a simpler way of putting cash in a relatively safe place. Ok, interest will be low, but getting cash in and out of the fund is a simple enough matter, and I guess the fund will be invested in a basket of currencies...

iPhone as replacement for Nokia E61i

Spoke with brother in law over the week end. He is selfemployed and been a Nokia man since Digicell went on the air. At the time he was an employee of Digicell. Anyway, after that many years in Nokialand, he somewhat nervously changed to the iPhone in March 2009. 9 months on, he just wonders...
