I'll second that, we stayed in the Eastgate afffinia, great location - not exactly family oriented, but has all the suites with tv's, pay movies etc - very reasonably priced compared to most.

I think some of royal canal park may be dublin 7, which the whole development should be - why the developers lobbied to get it changed to d15 is more than I know.

I'd highly recommend Farnham, the D Hotel in Drogheda is also nice, but not in the same class as Farnham - having eaten in both places however, neither restaurant was much to write home about.

The area isn't bad really, there are definitely issues with regards to:
The dirt biking all day long most weekends.
The break-ins and damage to the cars

Thanks Tink, unfortunately it's all booked out for when I need it - it would have been perfect!! As for the Affinia, when city tax etc is added in, it's getting a bit out of budget, thanks anyway.
