Clamping...relief

I work in The Park Carrickmines. I am well aware that as an employee I cannot park in the customer car park. I have a space in the staff car park. There is a 4 hour limit in the customer car park. Yesterday I actually had a day off work but had to return something to a shop there and I had left my laptop in work which I needed for today. Anyway I parked my car at 8.30, popped into work to pick up the laptop, returned item to next at 9.15, got coffee in McDonalds at 9.20. Sat chatting to colleague and had a further browse round tk maxx. Came back to my car at 10.30 to find it clamped. 90 euro to get released. I rang and was told they saw me going into work. Yes I did for five minutes but I also have receipts from next McDonalds and TK Maxx so I was a customer.I can get a letter from work to say I was off. Any idea about appeal?

Write a letter to the company and show them your evidence. Seems reasonable for you to ask for a refund but don't demand one. Moral of the story is next time either park in the staff car park or go to TkMax first.

You parked there before the shops were open and went into work. It's reasonable for the clamper to add 1 and 1 and get 2.

Is there a written protocol for dual use vehicles?
Maybe ask for a copy.
