Probate Question

Hypothetical question.

A has three children X,Y,Z, and owns a farm. X and Y are unmarried and no children
X and Y have only cash assets

A is dead a number of years previously, and X and Y die leaving Z to inherit estate. No will has been made by all three.

Does a grant of probate have to be taken on all three or just A the original owner in order for the farm to be passed to Z

I presume because X and Y at the time of their death were entitled to a share in the farm that probate would have to be taken out on all three. Would like this clarified, thanks

Yes A did die before X and Y
