General Question/Fair Deal Scheme

My mother signed over land to me a year ago. She is now going into a nursing home and under the Fair Deal Scheme I believe that any assets in her name in the last 5 years will be charged at 7.5%. Does anyone know how long I will need to pay the 7.5% on the land I received? Can I get the fair deal scheme reviewed once the land is past the 5 year date and get it removed from the list of my mothers assets? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. The land transferred will be treated as your mother's asset for as ongoing as she remains alive and in the nursing home. http://www.hse.ie/nhss/#fin The first €36k of value of assets will be discounted.
