Paying usc in arrears?

Hi,

My tax status was suddenly changed from N to W. I rang up and they said its to do with USC.

I checked back and it seems I hadn't been charged for USC for last 2 years and it's just kicked in now . Can anyone relate to this or clarify things ?!

were you earning more than the threshholds for those years? Check your P60s for the years and check you weren't paying it. did you not notice you weren't paying USC. if you weren't paying it and were due to pay it, then Revenue will try to recoup it. You may be able to work out a payment plan with them
