mice!

it's a nest of them somewhere in there... reset the traps again (and again and again), you might have got the mommy mouse originally, now all the little teeny mice are going hungry and venturing out looking for food... now it's just easy pickings :)

Leak fixed now?

Leak apparently will dry out and caretaker guy was mouse trap master. Wouldn't even take a fiver for a pint...just said he couldn't see a blonde damsel in distress! He will drop back tomorrow with more traps just in case.

The boyfriend is in the UK and not very happy!

The great mice saga continues. I was away last night and came home just now...no mice in traps.....but on closer inspection no food in traps....

I have now hired a vermin person. He told me baby mice won't set off traps.

Back to wearing shoes in bed!

Three wise men armed with nutella and peanut butter arrived to exterminate. They will return on Tuesday for body removal.

Probably mine at this rate!

It was actually quite funny as they rang me from the road outside to say that neighbours may not like to see signs on van...so I had an assignation with three men outside the estate. Then they did their stuff and I dropped them back.

The mousetraps I had down were too big for baby mice so I now have teeny ones. I must say they were very thorough even going behind bath etc. It was funny seeing a huge toolbox with piles of peanut butter in it.

And one of the nice men fixed my bathroom light!

I'm going to give you a really great "kill" for vermin. All vermin love sugar and if you mix a decent amount of it with hardwall (powder like cement they use for plastering) then put a good tablespoon of this mixture into little paper parcels and leave them along a mouse or rat run, you'll kill the lot and not only that but once they take it their saliva glands turn the hardwall rock solid and kills them almost instantly. This really works and the vermin don't get far, so you can pick them up and dispose of them. Any builder working near you would be sure to have a burst bag of this stuff, or even a hardware merchants. It's a No 1 deliverer of results, guaranteed.

Thank you. I am currently working on the batting eyelids and flicking hair routine with every local builder I can find. Actually it's quite effective....leaks and lights fixed foc.

I will wait till Tues re mice when the three wise men reappear. Bless them, they told me not to clean my floors so as to see droppings so they will clean all floors next week.

Amazing what being a damsel in distress can achieve. I have not shared the fact that i tiled my own bathroom and fitted my own blinds.

Vermin three men coming at 9am now Thursday. I have been carefully not looking so have no idea. Actually quite getting to feel humanity towards little things now.

The make up of hardwall gets it to solidify more rapidly when it lands on the tongue, almost solid by the time it hits the little tummy.

Hardwall will generally be pure gypsum, and will set much more quickly. Most filler products like Polyfilla have other agents included in the mix to prolong the working time and make them more DIY friendly.

Same three men arrived back for body removal....no bodies. Apparently small amount of activity behind kickboard in kitchen but man said mouse would have gone off to die quietly somewhere. Nothing upstairs. They're coming back again next week. I have some suspicion that they're tied up with the management company as the caretaker seemed to know them. And the agm is next week. But i'll take it!

I'll tell you that this playing helpless female works a treat. I've had lots of free diy done and they even offered to do some bits and bobs for my mother who lives nearby. Season of goodwill!

Another visitation of the three men this am. I must say very thorough! I haven't even paid them.

Anyway whilst i quivered on stairs they found adult male mouse under cooker kickboard. I have no idea how one determines a mouse sex but is now in bucket being brought off. He took the traps up but left the poison. He said it seemed to be neighbour access rather than me. Mgt company to alert them.

Peanut butter does the biz also. Had a problem some years ago. Bought four traps, set them with peanut butter and caught about six over a week. End of mice. Then I sprayed the entry/exit with vermin retarder foam.
