My advice is to stay in and pick another night. It's loud, it's dangerous, it's expensive, it's crowded, it's difficult to get taxis, it's madness. As it happens we're going to Ireland for a few days but we return on the 31st as that is the worst night of the year to go out on. You'll get a great deal instead on the 30th or 1st. Nobody will be going out on the 30th and everybody will be knackered on the 1st.
