cancelling ulster credit card

Just wondering about the procedure to cancel my ulster credit card, i would prefer to register letter them rather than phone,do i have to give notice and do i cut up cards and put them in letter also? And also i clear balance to zero and then add 30 for stamp duty,is that right? thanks for any help

You can write a letter (the address on your statement would be the appropriate department). You can state the card(s) have been destroyed. The balance would have to be zero, and yes, you need to factor in the stamp duty.
