My mum past away and died intestate.

While her estate is very small less without hpuses orother assets I want to do things right.

I cannot find 3 of the 7 childern as we all have lost contact over the years.
I don't even know what countries they are in.

What steps does my Solisiter have take to find them?
Newspapers?
Private Investigation?

Could all of the small sum left be used up in trying to find the others so than you'd end up with a hundred euro been spilt between 7 kids?

That is sad when families lose contact. Is there anyway of contacting old friends, workplaces last known whereabouts?. Social media might be helpful. Even if the amount of monies involved is very small, the nice thing would be for all the family to be reunited again

Thanks for the reply.

I dont want to contact them, they are not good people.

But legally they have to be located.

All sorted thank you to anyone who replied and messaged.

They have to be found but will not be placed in contact with anyone else in the family that does not want that.

Any costs in finding them come from their share not mine as little as it is.

All methods up to and including private Investigation is used.

Glad my solicitor is an experienced and to be fair an easy to talk too guy, having never dealt with anything so complicated I was worried.
