Registering ownership with Land Reg after Probate

I have processed Probate myself. Once this is done, the title deeds have to be registered in the beneficiaries names. I rand PRAI this morning and asked if one beneficiary was buying the interest of the property from the other beneficiary, so we have to first reg in joint and then re-eg in purchasers only. She said no, you could reg in purchasers only. Anyone know how I would go about doing this? Will I def need a solicitor? (reluctant to get one for previous dragging of heels...)
 
You need to exchange contracts, objections and requisitions on title, draft closing documents and a deed of transfer. Then close the purchase, stamp the deed and lodge the stamped deed in the PRAI along with a transmission on title and the grant.
 
Solicitor it is so. I might be able for some things, but not doing a conveyance myself, even if I'd make an ok stab at it (IMO , of course ;-) )
