Reduction in Salary after 65

I wonder if anyone can throw some light on the situation regarding the 5% uplift in salaries provided to employees in the public service who joined after 1995. This 5% was to allow for the compulsory contribution to pensions by all public servants joining post 1995. I joined in 2000 and am due to retire at then end of this year. I have been told that I cannot contribute to my pension after 65yrs (some later entrants can) and in turn the uplift in salary will then be reduced by 5%.
I have seen the circular where the change is outlined but there is nothing in it to indicate anything about the reduction of salary by 5% once I reach 65yrs. Does anyone else have knowledge of this and where I might find something in writing referring to the reduction.

Thanks in advance.
