Help summons re bank loan

Hi guys I need advise big time .. had loan with bank of ireland few year ago .. lost jon n could not pay ny loan.. I now received a summons today to go to court n fill out statement of means ... I habe family n three kids..I am worried sick is there any way I can avoid this or sort this very stressed here

You need to talk to someone. Can you talk to your wife? Does she know of the situation? You MUST have received some correspondence prior to the summons? Did you deal with that correspondence? If you can't talk to wife, you really need to talk to MABS or suchlike.

You CANNOT simply disregard the Court.

Call the MABS helpline Monday morning 0761 072000 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Turn up in court and explain your circumstances. You will be dealt with fairly and probably get the proceedings adjourned generally (thrown out in laymens terms). Don't agree anything you cannot afford, just simply say you cannot pay. Good luck and don't worry about it and make sure you appear.

Absolutely take the advice of Elcato above. proceeding is likely to be for an installment order against you. If you don't appear the likely consequence is that the bank will get the installments they apply for. You need to make your own case here. If you have just received the summons you should have plenty of time to make out your statement of means to present at the court. This should not be an intimidating experience for you. Judge will give you every opportunity to present your information.
