Replace a FORD GALAXY

I have a 2003 Galaxy. Brilliant Yoke. It's a van, it's a car, it's a bus. its a jeep.
Great for pulling stuff.
Its efficient. It never needs parts. It gets about €500 a year to pass the NCT.
Most of the kids are gone.
Think I might need something with a bit more cred. I would love a range rover but I cannot afford.
What jeep type vehicle would replace a galaxy. I need to do a long car type journey once a week.
 
A couple of weeks ago I'd have said replace it with another VW (it is at base a VW Sharan / SEAT Alhambra), but now ...

but now you can ask for a discount on the VW and it will be exactly the same vehicle as it was last month
 
A Galaxy is a very different drive to any 4X4. Personally I hate driving 4X4’s as they feel poxy on the road. If I was replacing a Galaxy with something smaller I’d go for a large saloon car.
 
I like the Peugeot 3008, great engines on them if you are doing a fair amount of miles and very comfortable.
