It now looks like the Government has gone as far as it is willing to push the banks in terms of reducing variable interest rates, should we be pushing them to stop the gradual reducing of the tax relief for mortgage interest paid and reinstate it for all mortgage holder and not just for per 2013 mortgages. This would be help the people paying the most interest and maybe more likely now with the higher than expected tax revenue so far this year.
