Booking online - Ryanair - out of date passport

Hope someone can help. We're due to fly out next Tuesday 1st Sept. My partner applied for passport through passport express 3 weeks ago, they got back to us today to say they needed extra information. We've sent that now but I'm panicking.

Will his passport be ready by Monday (we're flying out at 6am on Tuesday)?

Also I need to check in online. Can I check in myself and the kids without checking him in? I need a passport number to complete online checking in, so obviously don't have that for him yet.
 
Did you not explain this to them on the phone ? Do you have a tracking number ? You may need to make an appointment with the passport office and simply ask them there. Bring proof of travel with you and they should sort it but it may cost you extra. If you still have the contact number and name of whoever rang you then ring them in the morning.
 
We did explain through email as no one is answering the phone in the passport office. They just said send the info and email us back on Thursday to check on progress. We also sent proof of travel so they know when where flying out. I'm just hoping its ready by Friday as I wont relax till it gets here.

I got onto Ryanair and I can checkin without him so push comes to shove we'll have to reschedule his flight. Could kill him for leaving it so last minute
 
Where are you based ? If in Dublin you could just try and walk into the office. But it sounds like they are aware of your plight and should be in touch. Remember Passport express is supposed to be ten working days.
