There was great fanfare a year ago about UPC spending big on a slice of the mobile market.

Supposed to start in 2015.

I can upgrade now into a 2 year contract.
Although If I can get a better deal with bundling the mobile in it might be worth waiting a few months.

I saw a copy of the letter someone got. it was basically a sim only plan. 15 euro. Unlimited calls, data and text.

I will hold on so. Any more info on phones packages and adding to bundles.

Any more info out there?

I see Virgin are now the new gaffers and offering sim only.

Again I think a wait and see what gets added.

Anyone know if Richard will make any changes to the UPC offerings.

Just a warning.UPC/Virgin want you to sign a new 12 month contract for broadband and TV when you get the sim card.

Its worth pointing out that Virgin didn't take over UPC and its got nothing to do with Richard Branson.

UPC is owned by a multinational called Liberty Global who also own Virgin Media. They pay Richard Branson a fee for the name and to do some ads.
They decided to change the name of UPC to Virgin Media for branding reasons. ( I am guessing that they wanted to get rid of the name UPC and save a couple of quid in the advertising budget but reusing the ads and website from the UK).

Nothing about the ownership or management of UPC has changed, so don't expect too many changes in the business plan,
