Sky still charging after cancelling more than 2 years ago

Theyr'e saying that i signed up again 2 weeks after cancelling (which was before the 31 day cancellation period) but i never did, and due to this they wont give me a refund for all the unauthroized debits! can you recommend me a good way of getting the money back? small claims court perhaps? i asked for evidence of the call reinstating it, but they wont give it to me
 
Did you take out any new services within that 31 day cancellation period?. Did you put it in writing to them via an email or in a letter. How much money is involved and why has it taken 2 years to get to this stage?
