Log Cabin Games Room

Just looking for some advice.

Looking at building an outdoor games room for our teenage children. I'm seriously considering a log cabin and have been looking at some companies online that provide these. I'm living in the sticks so have ample room but the area would be somewhat exposed come winter.

Just wondering if anyone has undertaken such a project and if you have any advice. if anyone could recommend companies they had a good experience with, I can give them a call.

Wondering how people heat a log cabin come the winter months and how much maintenance is on them.

Looking for something that'll take a pool table, couch, tv etc..

Any advice really appreciated.

A small stove would do it nicely, would you mind popping me an email with the companies that supply them, would be looking to do same myself.

Leo, if there are no frequent posters who can provide information then how can one convey the information if one is a non frequent poster and cannot PM?

most of the logcabin providers on this webpage provide interesting ideas, none appear to offer a cabin that can take a stove for that important heat aspect.


I looked at freestanding glass walled structure with double glazed roof but it would work out twice the price of one of these for the area. I did not realise they were available and popular.

If they're not a frequent poster, they are not allowed provide recommendations via any method on AAM. A non-frequent poster doing so via PM will likely be banned. This rule was put in place to protect those seeking recommendations. We had companies/suppliers pretending to be satisfied customers recommending their own services with glowing reviews, then going on to provide very poor service or worse. I know of one case in particular involving a building project which ended up going through the High Court due to the level of damage caused.

We always advise getting personal recommendations where at all possible, when getting them here, look at a posters history and check if they are genuine.
