My wife is currently on a 1 year contract which expires at the end of December. We have just found out she is expecting and is due at the end of January.
Prior to starting the contract, she was claiming jobseekers for 3 months and was on a 1 year contract prior to this.
My question is, what benefits is she entitled to when her contract ends? I presume she will be eligible for state maternity benefit as she will have made enough contributions. Can she go on jobseekers then after the maternity payments end?
