Can anyone tell me if I transfer money from my BOI account to PTSB account online tonight will it be in the account tomorrow? Or does it take longer to 'clear'?
 
BOI has a cut off time of 3.30pm I think. So if you made the transfer last night you can probably see it hasn't yet arrived in your PTSB account. It should be there tomorrow.
 
BOI will have the money in your account the following day if you have the transfer request in before 3:30. Otherwise it is the following day. As far as I know this is true of even internal payments.

BOI to BOI are instant.
 
Thank you all. I enquired in the bank today and they said next day. If however I lodge from BOI to PTSB before 11.30am it would be in that day. Must try it and see if its true!
 
Transfers from BOI to BOI should be instant. PTSB to PTSB certainly are....
 
You would imagine that they would be but they are not. I'll post when the money arrives. I knew that the transfers were quite slow but I forgot to make the transfer so it's my own fault that I'm still waiting for it.

All my family are with BOI and quite often monies would be transferred ONLINE between accounts.

I honestly cannot remember ever having to wait more than 2 or 3 minutes before it shows up in the recipients account and as I said earlier, it is usually instant.

As this thread is pertinent to online transfers, as per OP, I am assuming that you are referring to same (as you didn't specify what sort of transfer).
