Invalidity and private pensions

I have been retired on medical grounds and I am currently on invalidity pension. Can I draw from my private pension without effecting my invalidity pension?

There could be tax implications also as you are liable for tax on both payments. If you only get Inv Pension probably no tax payable but once you draw down pension could bring you into tax bracket on both payments...........
