old PTSB free shares VS new PTSB shares

Did anyone have old free PTSB shares. Can anyone tell me what cost price would have been assigned to these original free shares issued by PTSB. They are now being replaced by new PTSB shares in the ratio of 1:100 held. If I sell the new shares, do I use the cost of the old ones for CGT calculation purposes.

I now hold 8 new shares which replaced 800 old shares. I also have the option now to purchase 8 extra new shares at €4.50, which I will not take.
I would like to dispose of the 8 new shares but it would probably cost me more to sell than what I would get for 8 shares(€36)

Anyone know ?

Interesting problem. Then you should sell them only if you need to get the CGT losses.

Yes R.Daly I had the old shares plus the 300 free shares. I received 6 shares for the 300 freebies!! and I think the purchase price at the time was £1.90 per share

Am I correct in thinking that, as my original 330 shares were free, then no loss would be incurred selling the 4 of them now at €5+ each? The only "loss" I could offset against other CGT would be what I could get for the shares, minus the expenses incurred selling them?
