Query re paying off a mortgage

This may seem a very silly question, but if you are in a position to pay off your full mortgage balance is the process simple? Ie you just transfer the amount in question to your mortgage account?
This is for a variable rate mortgage with the BofI.
Maybe there are forms you are meant to fill out first etc.
I will ring the bank but don't want to appear foolish so just asking first.

Very very simple, call into Bank get balance and pay it off.

Call the bank first and request a redemption figure, they usually have to be calculated and are valid for maybe a 7 day or so period so you must clear within that time or there is an adjustment to be made, normally a small vacate fee added to mortgage balance, maybe 30/40 euro or so.
