Have received 2 emails in the last few days purporting to be from Bank of Ireland and saying that there is a problem with my online login.

I have checked with B of I and these did not come from them.

Just beware !

These are phishing emails - very commonplace. I've got some purporting to be from aib, ulster bank, BoI, and also UK banks such as natwest. Also paypal. Thought I would never be so stupid to fall for this routine but the last paypal phishing email actually coincided when I did actually have an issue logging in to my paypal account! I was half way through fillling out personal details when sixth sense kicked in.

I have had several of those purporting to be about banking 365 problems, was a bit puzzled at first as I don't even have a Bank of Ireland account then figured out it must be some sort of scam.

Just in case it's doing the rounds currently, I got this phishing email from address:
3 6 5 * Bank.of.Ireland <definition.sites at searchsites.techtarget.com>

Subject: Unauthorized account access! Ref 680590319

Any email from any company saying there's an issue with your login that needs you to do some sort of confirmation is always a scam.
