As an O2 customer I have always incurred call charges ringing my Three customer wife. Those days are gone now as we are the one network now. I did ask O2 a few weeks ago about this but they were unsure. From looking at my itemised bill, my wife call charges stopped mid February. That is quite a good outcome for me as most of my monthly cost was to her. Although the changeover has been well advertised, I was completely unaware of the cost elimination until this morning.

Hello,

I am with Three. I received a text message from the company the other day, welcoming approx 1.5 million customers from 02, to the Three family and advising that calls between 02 and Three customers would now be free (which is indeed, good news).

One thing to be aware of with Three, is that you are charged for calling your voicemail. In fairness, this is clear within the tems of the package I have signed up for. I think it is standard with all Three packages to charge each time you call voicemail, so watch out in case they introduce it wtih former 02 customers.

Is the name "02" being dropped now also, do you know ?

As an O2 customer, I didn't receive any text about the free O2/Three calls.

I have free Voicemail on my O2 contract.

I have a cheap legacy O2 package, currently €9 pm ex vat covering all networks texting, 10 named landlines, free O2 calls and now free Three calls. I won't change this quickly.

I'd say the name O2 has a definite end date what with the huge sponsorship of IRFU/Point It still comes on my phone when I switch it on/of.

You need to already have inclusive 'O2 to O2 minutes' or inclusive 'Three to Three minutes' in your package to avail of the 'free calls'.

This offer is not applicable to all O2 and Three customers.
