French leasebacks -- legal problems

Am, like so many others, an unwitting victim of the French leaseback disaster where mis-selling & fraud was/is rife. Have now defaulted on my (French) mortgage as might as well have thrown money into the bin. Am taking legal action (in France) against a number of parties based both there & here. It's a long drawn out & stressful process.

My question is do others have any personal experience of either (a) having had a successful outcome to such action (b) been pursued by a French institution in Ireland looking for repayment of their il-gotten gains.

People like me have been conned/de-frauded but have, until recently, regarded ourselves as being somehow at fault whereas the opposite is the case undoubtedly.

Any help or advice appreciated.

emotional language - conned/defrauded - is it an investment that depreciated or have you proof or wrongdoing?

As per previous email, I and at least 30 other owners in my particular 'resort' continue to be involved in French litigation over alleged fraud/mis-selling which continues to proceed at a snail's pace. I remain very hopeful of ultimate success & intend personally to never visit France again so disgusted am I at the way I and so many others have been treated.

That aside I have a question regarding whether & how, in the event of being unsuccessful in court, the French bank that provided the mortgage were to attempt to seize money from my Irish bank account to discharge the debt.

How would it potentially go about doing this & would it have an ability to automatically seize my assets or would it have to obtain a legal judgment against me before then looking to enforce it ?.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Assuming that your Irish bank account is not with the French bank.

The French bank would have to get a judgement against you either in an Irish court or if they got a judgement in a French court they would have to get it endorsed by an Irish court.
