I get an An Post scam text every time I order from Amazon

Amazon delivery by An Post this morning.

Then SMS received at 11:20am from +234 808 089 6585

If this were connected in any way, the text would have arrived before the package, not after.

Absolutely, if this were a more sophisticated scam they're also be spoofing the phone number to a local one.

Amazon website says out for delivery: 7:06am

SMS received 11:20am

Amazon website says delivered 12:39



An Post no longer allow tracking without signing up, so I am using the Amazon data.

For Amazon deliveries I get the An Post SMS the day before as the item is processed. Someone with access to your Amazon order data would try to get ahead of that notification.
